Kanthal wire in both coils, not mesh — worth saying upfront. The 0.8Ω and 1.5Ω Prism S coils are Kanthal construction. Flavour is solid throughout, Innokin's coil design holds up — but if mesh is specifically what you want, the 0.9Ω Prism S mesh coil is sold separately and fits straight in. Setup and Coil Priming

Screw the coil in. Fill to 2ml. Then put it down. Ten minutes. That's the priming wait and skipping it is the single most common way people ruin a coil on day one. The Kanthal wire coil inside the Innokin Prism T20S tank has dry cotton straight from packaging — it needs time to draw up e-liquid before heat touches it. Fire too early and the cotton scorches. And once scorched, that burnt flavour is permanent on that coil. Every draw after it. Ten minutes is nothing against replacing a coil before it's had a single proper use.

After priming, fit it to your mod. Start at the low end of the wattage range — 16W for the 0.8Ω, 13W for the 1.5Ω. A few shorter draws first. Let it settle across the first tank of liquid before pushing wattage up.

When the coil needs changing: pull it out, click the new one in. That's the no-spill design — nothing to unscrew, no liquid flood.

Which Coil to Use

Two coils, genuinely different feel from each other. Not just on paper.

The 0.8Ω at 16–18W — MTL draw with a bit of room in it. More vapour than the 1.5Ω. Better for 50/50 freebase at lower strengths, say 3–6mg, or lower-strength nic salts. Where most vapers on the Innokin Prism T20S tank settle in.

The 1.5Ω at 13–14W — tight. Cigarette-close. Less vapour, more focused hit per draw. The one for ex-smokers who try the 0.8Ω and find it too open. Pair it with 20mg nic salt and the combination actually feels familiar in a way that loose MTL setups don't.

E-Liquid Pairing

High-PG or 50/50. That's what the Innokin Prism T20S tank is built for. High-VG above 70% won't wick fast enough through MTL coil ports at this wattage range — dry hits mid-tank follow, even on a fully primed coil. Not a defect, just the wrong liquid for the format. 20mg nic salt in 50/50 with the 1.5Ω is the natural ex-smoker pairing. 50/50 freebase at lower strength with the 0.8Ω for vapers who've already stepped the nicotine down.
